A Year of Growth: From Kitchen Experiments to Store Shelves

A year ago, while my mom and sister were busy harvesting their gardens in the Interior and Okanagan, I signed up for my very first candle-making course. Drawn by aromatherapy and a desire to fill some extra time, I never imagined where this small spark of curiosity would lead.
That first Christmas season became a true family affair. My mom sold her simmer pots and dried fruits through a local natural delivery service, and my sister already building her landscaping design business crafted lip conditioners, bath salts, and shampoo bars with flowers and herbs from her garden. I focused on candles, stepping into my first artisan markets. To my surprise, I not only loved the art of making candles but also the sense of community I found there.
As the seasons changed, so did we. My sister turned her focus to her long-held design dreams, and my mom moved to Penticton. Like the roots of a plant that shift and stretch as it grows, our paths branched in new directions.
What began as a collaborative family experiment has blossomed into something I truly love.
Today, as we celebrate one year of this journey, I’m thrilled to share that our candles and soaps have found a home on the shelves at The Storehouse in Surrey a dream I didn’t know I had until it came true.
This is just the beginning. I’m excited to see how our story continues to grow and evolve rooted in love for handmade creations and the simple joy of beautiful aromas.
